Start/Stop/Transfer Utility Service

Start Service

  • New Customers: If you are a new customer or a customer who has not had service in the past two years, service must be established in person* at the Stillwater Municipal Building at 723 S. Lewis St. Service can be turned on the same day.

    • You must be 18 and have a valid government-issued picture I.D.

    • A deposit may be required based on your credit-risk-factor score. Deposits maybe $0 to $200 based on that score.

    • There is a $25 processing fee that is added to the first bill.

    • *In special circumstances, if you are unable to establish service in person, we can email or fax you a contract that requires you to have the contract notarized and the original mailed back to our office.

  • Existing or Recent Customers: If you are an existing customer or a customer who had service in his or her name in the past two years, service can be established or moved by calling 405.742.8245. Based on your past payment history, a deposit may be required.

  • About New Water Service: On the day service connection is scheduled, plan for someone to be present at the premises. If not, make sure all taps are turned off. If the City attempts to connect the water service and finds an open tap, the water will not be left on.

  • About New Electric Service: If your electric is not on after a reasonable time from making your utility arrangements, check your breakers prior to contacting the City. An additional fee will be incurred if another trip is required.

Stop Service

  • If you are moving out of our service area, call 405.742.8245 to close your account. If there is a refund due, a check will be mailed separately from the final statement.

Transfer Service

  • If you are an existing customer or a customer who has had service in your name in the past two years, service can be established or transferred by calling 405.742.8245. Based on your past payment history, a deposit may be required.

  • NOTE: 

    • Each time you move, you must set up a new online profile to begin paperless billing or auto online payments.

    • The final bill for your previous address will be applied to your new account number.

    • If you wish to set up a bank draft, you will need to have a $0 balance to do so.
