Construction on the $70 million power station began in July 2015. At the peak of the work, more than 175 workers were on site. The project was completed on schedule and under budget. The completed station employs 17 people.

Stillwater Energy Center is the most efficient simple-cycle power plant in Oklahoma. Electric customers will benefit from high power reliability and environmentally friendly state-of-the-art technologies that produce minimal emissions and adapt to future advancements in the renewable energy market.
