What We're Doing

After investing in repaving and repairing streets, the city takes steps to keep that pavement in good shape as long as possible. The following is part of the annual Pavement Management Program

Pavement Maintenance Strategies:

  • Preventative maintenance: application of crack seals, thin non-structural surface overlays and other treatments used to maintain and extend the service life of pavement.

    • Elm Ave.:  Knoblock St. to Duck St.

    • Pioneer Trail St.:  north end to south end

    • Black Oak Dr.:  30th Ave to 25th Ave. 

    • Perkins Rd.:  Richmond Rd. to Yost Rd. 

    • 10th Ave.:  Western Rd. to Ridge Dr. 

    • Ridge Dr.:  10th Ave. to 9th Ave. 

  • Rehabilitation strategies: application of structural pavement overlays, full depth patching and other treatments to repair and extend the service life of pavement.

    • 12th Ave.:  Main St. to Perkins Rd. – Mill & Overlay

    • Fern St.:  15th Ave. to south end – Overlay

    • Chester St.:  15th Ave. to south end – Overlay

    • Airport Rd.:  Husband St. to Perkins Rd. – Localized Full Depth Pavement Repair 

  • Reconstruction strategies: replacement of existing pavement with new pavement and base material on streets that renews the service life of pavement.

    • 13th Ave. & Chester St. 

    • 13th Ave. & Fern St

    • 14th Ave. & Chester St. 

    • 14th Ave. & Fern St.  

    • 15th Ave. & Chester St. 

    • 15th Ave. & Fern St. 

    •  Harned Ave. Cul de Sac 

  • Deferred maintenance: includes rehabilitation and reconstruction strategies on localized areas such as high severity potholes, failed concrete panels or significant segments of failed pavements to extend the service life.
