Stillwater Strong Memorial

Stillwater Strong Memorial

Hall of Fame Avenue and Main Street

What We're Doing

The Stillwater Strong Memorial is under construction at the corner of Hall of Fame and Hoke Street, which is one block west of Main Street and only feet from the site of the OSU Homecoming Crash on Oct. 24, 2015. The memorial will be a large orange and blue handcrafted alloy ribbon, attached to a concrete base, with four granite tiles describing the lives of the four victims that died from injuries sustained in the crash. A fifth granite tile describes the memorial and the purpose behind the Stillwater Strong effort.

How We're Paying For It

The original construction estimate was about $100,000 and several construction elements, such as site clearing, concrete, fencing and landscaping have been donated by the City of Stillwater and private businesses reducing that construction estimate to nearly $85,000.
