What We're Doing

Industrial Substation serves most of our industrial customers, but currently only has one connection to our transmission system. We are adding a second 69 kV bay to accommodate a second transmission line for redundancy. We’re also adding two 69 kV circuit breakers to manage faults on our transmission system.

Benefits

This will make Industrial Substation, and our entire transmission system, safer and more reliable.

Timeline

Updates

September 13, 2018: Substation construction has reached substantial completion. This substation has been returned to service. Many of our customers in the northeast part of the city are now being powered by this more robust and secure substation.
