Serve on a Committee
Mayor Will Joyce and the City Council are seeking applications for individuals to serve on various committees, boards, and commissions. The City of Stillwater greatly values the contributions of residents in our decisions and we are committed to identify and recruit the best candidates to serve our community. The Mayor and City Council rely on the thoughtful advice of these committees, boards, and commissions, which cover a wide range of topics and appeal to a variety of interests, to create policies and develop programs.

How to Apply
The City of Stillwater seeks applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences to reflect the views and effectively represent the diverse communities of Stillwater. Appointments are generally made when terms expire and serving members do not wish to be reappointed or when members leave for other reasons, such as resignation.
To apply online, visit online application. Applications are retained for three years and are reviewed when vacancies occur for a specific committee, board, or commission.

What to Expect After You Apply
When your application is submitted, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application. As vacancies occur on the committee, board, or commission for which you applied, your application will be submitted to the Mayor and City Council for consideration.
Applications are included in the agenda packet for the City Council. The agenda packet is made public the Wednesday before the scheduled Council meeting and can be viewed at the agenda packet.
Once you are appointed, you will receive an email informing you of your appointment. You will also be contacted by the supporting staff person with meeting dates and times.
