(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Dec. 16, 2020) – Stillwater City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority met for regular meetings Monday, Dec. 14 in the Winfrey Theater in the Community Center. Stillwater City Council

Public Hearing

  • Opened the floor for public comment regarding the proposed Boomer Lake Station Tax Increment Financing District

General Orders

  • Approved appropriation of $150,000 of CARES Act grant reimbursement funds totaling $1,293,707 to provide financial assistance to Stillwater residents experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of COVID-19, $1,143,707 to the General Fund to hedge against future COVID-19 impacts and related programs, and the associated budget amendments
  • Approved reinstatement of utility cutoff moratorium

Resolutions

  • Adopted resolution CC-2020-27: A resolution authorizing the creation of grant program to assist Stillwater residents experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19
  • Adopted resolution CC-2020-28: A resolution suspending disconnection of City/SUA provided utility services for non-payment

Ordinances

  • Adopted Ordinance No. 3465, without the emergency clause; Ordinance No.3465: An ordinance approving and adopting the Boomer Lake Station project plan pursuant to the Oklahoma Local Development Act; designating and adopting project area and increment district boundaries; establishing a date for the creation of increment district no. 4, City of Stillwater; identifying and establishing increment district no. 5, City of Stillwater, deferring its activation date; adopting certain findings; authorizing the City of Stillwater to carry out and administer the project plan; establishing a tax apportionment fund; declaring apportioned funds to be special funds of the City of Stillwater or the Stillwater Economic Development Authority; authorizing the use of increment revenues for the financing or payment of certain project costs; authorizing the Stillwater Economic Development Authority to carry out certain provisions of the project plan; ratifying and confirming the actions, recommendations and findings of the review committee and the Stillwater Planning Commission; directing continuing apportionment; providing for severability; and declaring an emergency

  • Adopted Resolution No. SUA-2020-11: Resolution authorizing the City of Stillwater's general fund to retain the sum of $4,179,679 transferred from the Stillwater Utilities Authority to be appropriated for specific projects
  • Adopted Resolution No. SUA-2020-12: A resolution suspending disconnection of City/SUA provided utility services for non-payment

Agenda available for Dec. 14 City Council & SUA meetings

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Dec. 11, 2020) – Stillwater City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority will meet for a special meeting Monday, Dec. 14.

The meeting will be begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Winfrey Theater in the Community Center at 315 W. 8th Ave. Face coverings are required in the Community Center and will be provided to residents upon entry. 

These meetings have been moved from their usual location at city hall in order to accommodate for social distancing in light of the expiration of the Governor's temporary order allowing teleconference meetings.
