Apply to serve on the Boomer Lake Station TIF Review Committee

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Oct. 23, 2019) – If you’re interested in helping the City of Stillwater plan for the proposed re-development of the area of town near Boomer Lake Station (BLS), apply to serve on the BLS Tax Increment Finance Review Committee.

What’s happening near Boomer Lake Station? Stillwater City Council recently approved a resolution establishing a tax increment financing (TIF) district for the re-development of Boomer Lake Station as a new commercial destination. Plans for the structure include an entertainment venue and gathering space along with commercial, retail, residential and office space.

The review committee is tasked with reviewing the proposed district and presenting findings and recommendations to City Council. Members will consider the eligibility of the proposed district and determine if the proposed plan will have financial impact on taxing jurisdiction.

Three citizen representatives will be selected to serve. The committee includes City Council Representative and Chairman John Wedlake, and one representative each from Stillwater Planning Commission, Oklahoma State University, Meridian Technology, Payne County Health Department and the Payne County Board of Commissioners.
