SFD: Memorial service for retired Assistant Chief William "Bill" Harvey Womack on Thursday, Sept. 6

Longtime Stillwater resident and retired Stillwater Fire Department Assistant Chief William H. Womack (Bill) passed away on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018. Bill, 76, passed away as a result of a tractor accident on his cattle farm southeast of Stillwater. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home.
In late 1967, he joined the Stillwater Fire Department and rose through the ranks to become the Department’s Assistant Fire Chief. He retired from the SFD on Sept. 30, 1994.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oklahoma Firefighters Museum and Memorial Fund, c/o Dighton Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington St., Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
