Two new Finance managers bring more than 50 years of combined accounting experience to the City

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / May 8, 2018) – The City of Stillwater recently welcomed two new managers to the Finance Department.

Ginger L. Gripe is our new reporting and compliance manager. She is a certified public accountant, certified management accountant and certified financial manager. Her responsibilities include managing the reporting, compliance, audit, debt, capital asset and investment functions of our city government.

Ginger brings over 20 years of performance driven experience providing fiscal responsibility, transparency and outstanding customer service. She comes to the City from OSU University Multispectral Laboratories where she was the controller. 

The new finance operations manager is Kami Koontz. She will oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily banking functions.

Kami has 30 years of trustworthy experience in business administration and accounting. She was most recently self-employed preparing monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, accounts receivable and payable and cash flow analyses. 

“With the hiring of Kami & Ginger, the City has gained two positive, forward thinking and experienced staff members,” Finance Director Christy Cluck said. “They will play key roles in improving the delivery of relevant, timely and understandable financial information to our city leaders and citizens which is a primary goal of the Finance Department and ties directly to the City’s strategic plan.”

Both Ginger and Kami are based at the Stillwater Municipal Building at 723 S. Lewis St.
