(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / 02-22-2017) - On Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Stillwater Police obtained an arrest warrant for Kwamain Quantay Baker for Lewd Acts with a Child Under Sixteen (a felony) stemming from an incident occurring earlier in the day. The victim reported that during that incident Baker began making comments that were sexual in nature, and then began touching her.  The victim was fifteen years old.
 
On Wednesday morning, February 22, 2017, shortly after 8:00AM Kwamain Baker was located in Stillwater and taken into custody.  The Police Department wishes to thank the citizens of our community who offered tips and assistance during the search for Baker.

Kwamain Quantay Baker

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / 02-21-2017) - On Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at approximately 9:40 a.m. Stillwater Police responded to the area of 9th and Main, in Stillwater, to investigate a reported assault.  Officers contacted a 15 year old female who told officers she was approached by an adult black male while she was at the public library waiting for it to open.  She told officers the male began talking to her and after she left the library the male began following her.  The victim reported the suspect began making comments that were sexual in nature, and then began trying to touch her.  The victim reported that she fled from the male and was able to get away and call the police.
 
On Monday, February 20, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Stillwater Police were sent to the 700 block of North Husband for a reported suspicious male.  Responding officers contacted a college age female who reported she was followed to her apartment by a black male who attempted to make contact with her.  The student told officers the male began banging on her apartment door and when she didn’t answer he began banging louder.  The student called the police and officers contacted the male near the apartment.  The male had not committed any criminal acts and he was warned not to return to the caller’s apartment or he would be arrested for trespassing.
 
The male involved in both incidents is believed to be the same person. At this time, police have an arrest warrant for Kwamain Quantay Baker for Lewd Acts with a Child Under Sixteen (a felony) stemming from the Tuesday morning incident. Baker is a 26 year old black male. He is 6’-3” and 200 pounds and has been living in Stillwater recently.
 
Police are currently looking for the Baker. Anyone with information regarding Baker’s whereabouts is asked to call the Stillwater Police at (405) 372-4171 or their local law enforcement department.
