Every year since 1992 the Stillwater Tree Board has celebrated Arbor Day with a public tree planting. Last year the Tree Board planted 20 trees at the Stillwater Airport with the help of the OSU Horticulture Club, the Stillwater Boy Scouts, the OSU Forestry Club, the OSU Leadership Club and the Stillwater Cowboy Jaycees. This year the Tree Board would like to have Arbor Day at a local gradeschool where they plan to plant several trees around the school yard with the help of the students. Currently, the City Forester is working with Will Rogers Elementary School to try to make this happen. Arbor Day in Stillwater is held during the third week in March every year throughout Oklahoma.

Spring Home and Garden Show

This year the Spring Home and Garden Show will be held at the Payne County Expo Center and will be on April 22nd and 23rd, (Saturday and Sunday). The Tree Board will be present, as usual, and we will be handing out Loblolly Pine seedlings again. This year we will also have our new water wagon and an educational booth.
