SUBJECT: Vehicle Bids
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
Consider award of vehicle bids.}

_{BACKGROUND:
The 1996/97 FY budget contains funds for various departments to replace a variety of vehicles in the fleet. The Public Works Department combined requirements from the following departments into a single bid package: Community Development, Fire Department, Water Distribution, Customer Service, Park and Recreation and Sanitation Division.
DISCUSSION:
The bid packets that were prepared contained several different types of vehicles. The City can order more than one of any type of vehicles as desired. Bids were advertised in November and notices of the bid were sent to 36 dealers. Bids were opened on Monday, December 16, 1996. A tabulation of the bids received is attached. The bid tabulation also includes the "state bid" prices (if one is available for the vehicle type) as provided by the State of Oklahoma Central Purchasing Department.
