As Mayor of the City of Stillwater, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Sister Cities Council web-page on behalf of the City Commission and the citizens of Stillwater! We are very proud of our community's international successes achieved by the Sister Cities program linking Stillwater, Oklahoma with Kameoka, Japan.

The citizens of Stillwater realize the importance of promoting international friendship and understanding in today's world. The Sister Cities Council encourages participation in citizen exchanges, educational exchanges, sister school relationships, the creation of Japanese gardens in Stillwater, and many other activities focusing upon cultural enrichment and friendly relations with the international community.

The Sister Cities Council is an active part of the municipal government of the City of Stillwater. The city government and the council are committed to our sister city in Kameoka, Japan, and are committed to welcoming all international students and visitors to our community.
