Cindy Petree

Cindy Petree has been involved in the activities of the Stillwater Sister Cities Program since 1985. She had the privilege of starting the award-winning Sister School Exchange Program between Stillwater Middle School and Kameoka's Taisei Junior High School. She coordinated the Middle School Exchange Program between 1986-1991 and in 1990 as the first Stillwater teacher selected to go to Japan. Recently, she was selected to again represent Stillwater Middle School as the 1998 Kameoka Exchange Teacher. She was appointed to the Sister Cities Council in 1996.

Ms. Petree received her Bachelor's degree at Oklahoma Baptist University and Master's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has a background in music, science, and gifted education, and currently teaches World Cultures at Stillwater Middle School. She has presented numerous workshops and has spoken at both religious and educational conferences. Ms. Petree is actively involved in her church and also anjoys traveling, singing, and reading.
