City of Kameoka
Stillwater is proud of one of the internationally renowned sister city relationships since 1985 with the City of Kameoka. The Kameoka web page introduces you to our sister city in the Kyoto Prefecture of Japan and is written in English.

Sister Cities International
Stillwater is an active participant member city of Sister Cities International and participates in various SCI projects. Stillwater has received several SCI awards, including recognition for educational exchanges, overall youth programs, special achievement in educational development, grant award for a Trilateral Exchange Program, and winners in the international youth art competition. This SCI web page introduces you to various SCI projects worldwide.

Consulate-General of Japan in Houston
Oklahoma residents are served by the Consul-General in Houston for information on Japan, visa applications and other related manners.  The Honorary Consul-General for Oklahoma is the Honorable Lloyd T. Hardin, Jr. of Oklahoma City.

Education in Stillwater
Stillwater is known as “Oklahoma’s Education Community” for providing quality educational programs at all levels. Oklahoma State University and other schools and agencies in Stillwater are actively involved in exchange programs with our sister city of Kameoka, and there is as active sister school exchange of teacher and students with the Stillwater Middle School and their equivalent schools in Kameoka.

Oklahoma State University
Oklahoma State University was founded in 1890 and is a nationally recognized public, comprehensive university which offers bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees in more than 200 fields including the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Doctor of Osteopathy. Oklahoma State University, with enrollment of more than 26,000 students on four campuses is the largest university in the state of Oklahoma and has more than 1,800 international students from 104 different countries with Japan as one of the countries with the highest representation and an active Japanese Student Association. Educational opportunities for international students include the English Language Institute, International Business Programs, and a number of international program studies.
